What is SSC CGL?
The Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level (SSC CGL) examination is one of the most competitive and popular government recruitment exams in India. Eligibility Criteria for SSC CGL 2025
Age Limit
The age limit varies by post, generally ranging between 18–32 years. Age relaxation is applicable for SC (5 years), ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwD, and Ex-Servicemen as per government norms.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree from a recognised university in any discipline. Certain posts (like Statistical Investigator) require a degree with specific subjects like Mathematics or Statistics.
Nationality
Must be a citizen of India. Candidates from Nepal, Bhutan, and certain other categories may be eligible under specific provisions.
How to Register for SSC CGL 2025
- Go to the Official SSC Website: Visit ssc.nic.in — avoid unofficial websites.
- Complete One Time Registration (OTR): If you haven't registered before, create an account under the OTR system by providing your name, Aadhaar number, email, and mobile number.
- Log In and Apply: After OTR, log in and navigate to the CGL 2025 notification to start your application.
- Fill Personal & Educational Details: Enter your details accurately. Your name and DOB must match your Class 10 certificate.
- Choose Exam Centre: Select up to 4 preferred examination centres from the list provided.
- Upload Documents: Upload scanned photograph (JPG, 20–50 KB) and signature (JPG, 10–20 KB) as per specifications.
- Pay the Fee: General/OBC candidates pay ₹100. Women, SC, ST, and Ex-Servicemen are exempted. Pay via SBI Challan, Net Banking, Debit/Credit card, or UPI.
